Mindful GMAT

Few will nowadays debate  that it is good to be mindful. There is even a company in the Netherlands that calls itself Mindful GMAT – though it isn’t immediately obvious what mindfulness has to do with GMAT. How can I be mindful? Of what ought I to be mindful of? And were you mindful of my double of?

Suffice it to say that there is much to be mindful of. And the first thing is this: be mindful of whatever you already are doing. Don’t grab for yet another thing to think about, another factoid to memorize, or another technique to practice. Just observe what you are already doing. Can any of it be improved? And how?

In all these questions, an experienced coach can of course etc etc… but you can also profit from spending time yourself, on considering your current performance, rather than rushing hither and thither in search of a magic bullet. Be mindful of what is already, and grow from there.
